          The Summary: glof is an offline-first golf statistics tracker. All of your golf records, scores, distances, and notes remain on your device in your private local database. We do not share, sell, or transmit user data with anyone.

1. Overview

glof is designed to help golfers track and analyze their rounds without requiring online accounts, cloud logins, or continuous network connectivity. Your golf statistics belong to you alone.

2. Data Collection & Sharing

We do not share your data with anyone. Specifically:

No Data Sharing: We do not sell, rent, disclose, or transmit your personal information or golf statistics to any third party, advertiser, data broker, or external service.
No Cloud Accounts: You do not need an account, email address, password, or profile to use the app.
No Trackers or Analytics SDKs: The app contains no third-party tracking libraries, advertising SDKs, behavioral analytics, or telemetry.
No Background Location Tracking: The app does not track your physical location or GPS coordinates in the background. Distance entries are entered manually or spoken by you using readings from your watch or rangefinder.

3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

All information created during your use of glof is stored exclusively in a private SQLite database on your device. This includes:

Round Records: Hole scores, putt counts, fairway hit selections, green-in-regulation 3x3 dispersion selections, drive distances, approach distances, first putt lengths, and hole notes.
Course Details: Course names, locations, hole count, and hole pars.
Settings: Preferred measurement units (metres, yards, feet) and your customized golf bag club selections.

This data remains on your phone and is never sent to any remote server or cloud service.

4. Device Permissions

glof requests only the minimum device permissions needed to provide its core features:

Microphone (Audio Recognition): Used strictly when you tap the microphone button to dictate distances, scores, or hole notes using voice recognition. Speech is processed through Android's on-device speech recognizer. Voice audio is never recorded, saved, or uploaded to any server by glof.
Storage / File Access: Used only when you choose to export your round history as a CSV file, export a coaching PDF report, or import a CSV/Garmin FIT file. The app accesses only the specific files you select.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

You have full control over your data at all times:

You can edit or delete individual rounds or courses whenever you choose from within the app.
You can export your complete history to a standard CSV file at any time.
If you uninstall glof from your device, all data stored by the app is immediately and permanently deleted by the Android operating system.

6. Children's Privacy

glof does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

7. Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy is updated, the new version will be published on this page (glof.net/privacy.html) with a revised "Last Updated" date.
